Daily Crosswords
American-style crossword puzzles in plain English, at three difficulty levels. Larger clue text, an on-screen keyboard with big keys, and a "check my work" button that never penalises you.
Play a sample crossword →A calm, ad-free place to play the games you already love. Nothing to install. No app store. Open the page, sign in, and play — on your phone, tablet, or computer.
No download. No card required for 14 days. Cancel any time by phone or email — a real person will help you.
Most game websites today are designed for young, ad-tolerant players with perfect eyes and steady hands. If you've tried a few and given up, it wasn't your fault.
We built a games site specifically for American players aged 65 and over. Every decision — every font, every button, every color — was made with one question in mind: would this feel comfortable for my own mother?
Every game is unlocked on every plan. There is no "premium tier" of games — you get the full library from the moment you sign in.
American-style crossword puzzles in plain English, at three difficulty levels. Larger clue text, an on-screen keyboard with big keys, and a "check my work" button that never penalises you.
Play a sample crossword →Number puzzles at four levels, from "I do these with my morning coffee" to "this will take the whole afternoon." Pencil marks, gentle hints, and an error-check that tells you if something's off without scolding you.
Play a sample Sudoku →Klondike Solitaire, FreeCell, and Spider Solitaire. Cards are drawn at twice the usual size — larger than real playing cards on a tablet — with unlimited undo and an auto-complete button.
Play a sample game →Anagram hunts, word ladders, and a spelling bee-style game where you build words from a set of letters. No timers, no pressure — take as long as you like on any puzzle.
Try a word game →Multiple-choice trivia on American history, classic films, music from the '50s through the '80s, geography, and general knowledge. Ten questions per round — no clock, no penalty for a wrong answer.
Try a trivia round →Short, gentle exercises for memory, focus, and quick thinking. Each session takes about ten minutes. Designed to feel like a warm-up, not a test — no scores to beat, no streaks to keep.
Try a brain-training session →The tile-matching game you've seen in puzzle books, done properly. Large, clear tiles, gentle background color, and a shuffle button for when you get stuck. There's no timer, and no way to "lose."
Play a sample board →Every feature below came from a real conversation with a senior player. We didn't guess — we listened to what was frustrating about every other games site.
Our base font size is 19 pixels — larger than most websites — and line spacing is generous so the text never crowds together. Playing cards render at twice the size of typical browser games. And if you still want things bigger, there's a "Larger Text" toggle in the corner of every page that enlarges the whole site by another 25%.
Every clickable thing on our site is at least 56 pixels tall — well above the 44-pixel minimum most guidelines recommend, and larger than typical mobile games. Cards, tiles, puzzle squares, and buttons are all spaced generously so a slightly imprecise tap still lands on the right one.
This is the biggest difference between Brightmind and other game sites. You don't install anything. You open our website in your browser — the same one you use for email and the news — and you're playing within seconds. On your first visit, we email you a "magic link" that signs you in with one click.
If something isn't working, or you can't figure out how to do something, you can call us. Our average phone wait time is about one minute, and our typical email reply time is under an hour during business hours. The line is staffed by real people — currently the two of us who run the company — Monday through Friday.
We designed sign-up so that someone who has never played a game online before can do it in about three minutes — and can call us if they get stuck.
Fill in the short form at the bottom of this page — just your first name and email. That's it. No credit card needed for the 14-day trial. Or call us and we'll set it up for you.
Open the email, click the big "Sign in to Brightmind" button, and you'll be signed in automatically. No password to remember. Bookmark the page so it's easy to find next time.
Choose any game from the main menu — crosswords, Sudoku, cards, words, trivia, brain training, or Mahjong. Everything is unlocked from the first minute. Your progress saves automatically.
After 14 days, we'll ask if you'd like to keep your subscription. If yes, your card is charged and you continue. If no, we cancel and you never hear from us again. No phone calls, no guilt trips.
We've been running Brightmind Games since 2006 — nearly two decades of making one thing well: comfortable online games for older players. We're not a big tech company, and we're not trying to be.
We played solitaire on the living room floor with our grandparents. We remember what a real card feels like in the hand, and we designed Brightmind to match that experience.
The single biggest reason seniors give up on a new online service is the download-and-setup step. We removed it entirely. If you can open a website, you can play Brightmind.
We've been a two-person family business for nearly two decades. The same people who built the site answer the support line. No call centers, no offshore contractors, no rotating staff.
This is the promise that matters most to the players we surveyed. No interruptions, no sound bursts, no ads you can't close.
Call us during business hours and a real person — one of the founders — will help you with anything. Our average phone wait is about one minute. No hold music for 40 minutes.
Cancelling a subscription shouldn't require navigating a maze of menu screens. Email us, or call us, and we'll cancel it while you're on the phone.

Family-run since 2006, with 18,000+ verified players aged 65 and over. Here's what that looks like in numbers.

Margaret is 74, lives in Ohio, and used to play solitaire every evening after dinner — first with a real deck, then on her old desktop computer, and then on a phone app that she eventually gave up on.
The phone app she tried had ads between every second hand, cards that were too small for her to read, and a "streak" counter that made her feel guilty if she skipped a day. She stopped playing entirely for about two years.
Her son set her up with Brightmind Games on the family iPad. She signs in with a link from her email, has the Larger Text setting turned on, and now plays every evening. She's called the support line twice — both times answered within a minute.
Illustrative example — replace with a real, authorised player story before publishing.

A 4.7-star average across verified reviews. Here are three of our favourites.
"I've tried half a dozen crossword sites and gave up on all of them. This is the first one where I can actually read the clues without my reading glasses, and I've never once had an ad interrupt me. I do one puzzle every morning with my coffee."
"My son set this up for me on the iPad because I kept complaining about the other game apps. The cards are big, the buttons are big, and when I couldn't figure out how to change the text size I called the phone number and a real man answered in about a minute and walked me through it."
"My husband and I play together every evening — I do the crosswords, he does the Sudoku, and we share the family plan. Neither of us has ever had to download anything, which was the main reason we hadn't tried an online game before. It just works in the browser."
"I've been doing crosswords since I was a girl. When my hands started getting stiff and my eyes weren't what they used to be, I thought I'd have to give them up. A friend told me about Brightmind and I've been playing ever since. It's become the best part of my morning."

Every plan includes all seven games — Daily Crosswords, Sudoku, Solitaire & Card Games, Word Games, Trivia, Brain Training, and Mahjong Solitaire. All games are fully unlocked. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no "premium" games held back. The differences between plans are: how many devices you can play on (Starter: 1, Professional: 3, Premium: unlimited), how many people can share the account (Premium: up to 4), and what kind of support you get (email only on Starter, phone support on Professional and Premium).
No. This is one of the most important differences between Brightmind and other game services. Everything plays right in your web browser — the same one you use for email and the news. You don't visit an app store. You don't install anything. You don't allow any permissions. On your first visit, we email you a link that signs you in with one click.
Yes — that's exactly who we built it for. Sign-up takes about three minutes, and if you get stuck, you can call us and we'll walk you through it step by step. Our average phone wait time is about one minute. We also offer a free 30-minute phone onboarding call on the Premium plan.
You get 14 days free on Starter and Professional, and 30 days free on Premium. You enter your email to start — we don't ask for a card up front. On day 12 we'll email you a reminder that the trial is ending. If you want to keep the subscription, you add a card and we charge you on day 15 (or day 31 for Premium). If you don't, the site simply stops working and we don't charge you anything. About 97% of trial users decide to keep their subscription.
Yes. Starter works on one device. Professional works on up to three devices (any combination of phone, tablet, and computer), and your progress syncs across them. Premium works on unlimited devices per player. Because everything runs in a web browser, there's nothing to install on any device — you just sign in.
Yes. Every game saves automatically, move by move. You can close the browser, turn off your device, and come back a week later — the game will be exactly where you left it, including any letters or numbers you'd already filled in.
You can cancel any time, in three ways: (1) by phone during business hours at [phone placeholder], (2) by email at [email placeholder], or (3) by clicking the "Cancel subscription" link on your account page. There are no cancellation fees, no "you must give 30 days' notice" rules, and no retention offers. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then it ends. [Business must supply: state your exact refund policy — do not publish this section until confirmed in writing.]
Call us at [phone placeholder] during [business hours placeholder] and a real person — usually one of the two founders — will help you. Our average phone wait is about one minute, and our typical email reply time is under an hour. We can walk you through anything: adjusting the text size, finding a game, or signing in on a second device.
No. There are no ads on the site, on any plan. There are no in-app purchases, and no surprises on your statement. The subscription price is the only thing you'll ever pay. We don't sell coins, gems, hints, or "power-ups." If you ever see an ad or an unexpected charge from us, please call — that would be a mistake and we'd want to fix it immediately.
If you're a single player who only uses one device, Starter ($6.99/month) is fine. If you want phone support or you play on more than one device, Professional ($11.99/month) is the best fit — it's the plan most people choose. If you and a spouse or family member both want to play, or you'd like a one-on-one setup call, Premium ($19.99/month) is best value for the household. When in doubt, start with the free trial and call us if you want help deciding.
Yes, all prices are in US dollars. Sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your state's rules for digital subscriptions — the exact amount will be shown clearly before you confirm payment. There are no other fees.
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period, so you keep the higher plan's features until then. Either way, just call us or email us and we'll handle it — no menus to navigate.
No. We don't sell your email, your name, or any information about how you use the site. We don't track what you do on other websites. We collect only what we need to run the service (your email, your subscription status, and basic technical information about your device). Read our full privacy policy at [privacy policy URL].
Yes. Many of our players have a son, daughter, or grandchild set it up for them. All they need is your email address, and payment information if you're past the free trial. We're also happy to talk to a family member by phone to walk them through setup. On the Premium plan, we'll do a 30-minute onboarding call with you (or with your family member and you together).
Brightmind Games has been family-run since 2006 — nearly two decades. We're a small team, and the same people who built the site still answer the support line today.
